H.K. Asso. of Gerontology

The Hong Kong Association of Gerontology was founded in 1986 by a group of professionals including geriatricians, nurses, social workers, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, clinical psychologists and academics with the aims of:

Establishing links with gerontology organizations outside Hong Kong to promote mutual understanding and cooperation;
Promote concern on elderly services through cooperation with other sectors in Hong Kong;
Promote development of elderly services in Hong Kong to improve quality of life among elderly people;
Promote development of research in gerontology;
Promote training and education in gerontology to enhance the quality of elderly services.

19^th IAGG World Congress of Gerontology & Geriatrics (Paris 2009)

Held only every 4 years, the IAGG World Congress of Gerontology & Geriatrics brings together experts from around the world to discuss the latest findings in the field of ageing. The Scientific Program was created with the help of the International Scientific Committee, which consists of over 85 expert members from more than 50 different countries. The 19th edition of this congress will take place July 5 - 9, 2009 in Paris, France. More than 7,000 participants from around the globe are expected. An exhibition featuring companies in the industry will be held in conjunction with this world congress.
