To design and formulate policies, strategies
and operational mode of the Residential Aged Care Accreditation
Scheme in Hong Kong.

To collect professional views for the
improvement of the accreditation standards, accreditation tools
and procedures.

To consider appeals from aged care homes
regarding the granting of accreditation status.

To examine proposals of research studies on
different aspects of the Accreditation Scheme and to consider
research findings.

To give advice on publicity and promotional
strategies.

of views on the development of the Residential Aged Care
Accreditation Scheme between the Hong Kong Association of
Gerontology and representatives of relevant Government bodies, trade
organizations and non-governmental organizations involved in
residential aged care services in Hong Kong.
To solicit advice on policy
directions related to the Accreditation Scheme from representatives
of relevant Government bodies, trade organizations and
non-governmental organizations involved in residential aged care
services in Hong Kong.
